RELIGIOUS TITLES
By Mike Gurganus
INTRODUCTION:
- "Reverend," "father," "priest," "bishop," "elder," "pastor" are all titles
used by men who proclaim the word of God.
- The question isn’t whether I believe a man has the right to wear a
religious title. The question isn’t whether you believe a man has the right to
wear a religious title. But the question is whether God through His word
approves of men when they wear religious titles.
- Colossians 3:17, I Corinthians 4:6, Revelation 22:18,19, so when a man
wears a religious does he have God’s authority to do so.
- From God’s word let us observe the general and specific consideration of
the usage of religious tiles by men.
