When we, in reverent dedication, give ourselves
wholly into the service of the savior we will know the joys
of the more abundant life. And as we bask in the sunlight
of God's infinite love, we will gladly share with others the
immeasurable peace of the Christian life.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,
a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim
the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His
marvelous light; I Peter 2:9
If all Christians would obey this, religion
would be everywhere honored. If all would separate from the
vices and follies, the amusements and gaieties of the world,
Christ would be glorified. If all were truly renewed in their
minds, they would lose their relish for such things; and seeking
only to do the will of God, they would not be slow to find

And do not be conformed to this world, but
be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may
prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of
God. Romans 12:2

Life is the boundary line of repentance.
What the scriptures call "time," contains the whole
period during which man can turn to God. "Today if you
will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the bitter
provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness."
If we are ever molded into the image of Christ, made conformable
to his death, and prepared for the society of the society
of the blessed, it must be while we are in time.

end is death." Proverbs 14:12
Spend your time in nothing which you know
must be repented of; in nothing on which you might not pray
for the blessing of God; in nothing which you could not review
with a quiet conscience on your dying bed; in nothing which
you might not safely and properly be found doing if death
should take you.
Selflessness in doing good for others; strengthens
the human spirit, stifles anger, subdues pride, and bridles

to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith."
Read that, my friends, and bow your heads.
You who have let yourself picture Him as weak, as a man of
sorrows, uninspiring, glad to die. There have been many leaders
who could call forth enthusiasm when their fortunes ran high.
But He, when His enemies had done their worst, so bore Himself
that a crucified felon looked into His dying eyes and saluted
Him as King.

is to religion. The one can exist without the other.

the LORD..." Isaiah 1:18
You cannot have everything. Must choose what
you want most! Can have heaven, but at the expense of giving
up the world! Can have the world, but at the expense of giving
up heaven! -
"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the
whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give
in exchange for his soul?" Matthew 16:26

- Not freedom from temptation, but power to overcome temptation.
- Not infallible judgment, but earnest and honest endeavor
to follow the higher wisdom.

over all bodily affliction.
- Not exemption from conflict, but victory through conflict.

to prevent falling.

What real Christian would not desire the beauty and blessedness
of such a life?
The world has achieved brilliance without conscience. Ours

I hate to CARP at
you, but I hope you give me a HERRING while I
exhort you a little about our Bible School. Please use
your BIG MOUTH to let everyone know. Donít CLAM
up. PERCH on some door step and keep inviting
people until they say "yes." If a woman shows
the slightest inclination to come, SNAPPER up
at once. And work on the men too, because most MINNOW
that they should be in Bible class. If those you
ask act CRABBY or CATTY and say they have
a HADDOCK, just give them a couple of aspirins
and tell them to come on. We have plenty of room for
everyone. We wonít be packed in like SARDINES.
So, stop FLOUNDERING around and ask someone to
come to Bible Class. It will be very good for your SOLE.
(P.S. If the above sounds a little FISHY,
I did it on PORPOISE.)
"And Jesus said unto them,
Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers
of men." Mark 1:17
